Aims of the association
The aims of the association are to promote an awareness of Fostering for Middlesbrough (Local authorities), and to support Foster Carers and their families in Middlesbrough.
In order to do this the Association may:
A. Co-operate with other organisations involved in the care of children and young persons.
B. Produce a regular newsletter to consult with and keep all members informed of developments.
C. Hold discussions, meetings and publish papers on related subjects.
D. Promote public interest in Fostering by such means are deemed necessary.
E. Promote support groups.
F. Set up working parties and sub-committees.
G. Advise/support carers in conflict with the Social Service Department.
H. Consult with all relevant agencies.
I. Campaign on issues which affect Middlesbrough(Local Authority) Foster Carers.
J. Nominate representatives to attend National meetings of the National Foster Care associations.
K. Organise regular open events for Foster Carers.
L. Organise social events for Foster Carers and the children and young people in their care.
M. To raise such funds are as necessary for the furtherance of its aims.
